Cornelius Veterans Monument Charity Ride

On behalf of American Legion Post 86, Shared Resources would like to thank many for their generous support and participation in our Cornelius Veterans Monument Charity Ride. Your commitment to helping our community raise money to pay tribute to our veterans is sincerely appreciated.

The Charity Ride enjoyed great success, raising $3,780 and providing a great day for 30 vehicles, 50 participants, and inexpensive community involvement and marketing opportunities for 36 local businesses. Early Spring 2011’s Cornelius Veterans Monument Charity Ride’s community goal will be increased participation and monetary support. As we get closer, we look forward to expanding your opportunities to get involved with the community and support this effort until the plan becomes a reality.

The purpose of the Veterans Monument is to show appreciation, and to pay tribute to those who served, or are presently serving our great nation in the defense of its freedoms. The Veterans Monument will include the names of all veterans, living or deceased, who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, received an honorable discharge, and lived in Cornelius at some point in his/her life.
